The ransomware will lock you files with an encryption algorithm. Your files will become inaccessible and your data will be encrypted by this nasty ransomware. The ransomware will append .insane extension to your files, thereby rendering them inaccessible. Windows XP

  • Go to Start Menu in the lower left corner of your PC and select Control Panel
  • Click on Add or Remove Program option.
  • From the list of applications that appear, select and remove the .[insane@airmail.cc].insane Ransomware and other malicious applications as well

Windows 7

  • Click the Start Button at the lower left corner and select Control Panel option.
  • Go to the option of Programs and select Uninstall a Program.

Windows 8

  • Click the Start Button at the lower left corner and select Control Panel option.
  • Under Programs, hit the Uninstall a program option.
  • From the list of applications that appear, select application that realtes to .[insane@airmail.cc].insane Ransomware and click uninstall.

Windows 10

  • Click on Start and select Settings.
  • Select the option “System” from the window that opens.
  • Then, click App and Features Option.
  • From the list of Programs, find .[insane@airmail.cc].insane Ransomware related program and click uninstall.
  1. Remove .[insane@airmail.cc].insane Ransomware from Browser Extension

Google Chrome

  • Open Google Chrome Browser and click on the vertical dots () to open Menu on the Chrome.
  • Click on the Tools
  • Click on Extensions menu and then choose all unwanted or malicious extensions present.
  • Trash all the malicious extensions created by .[insane@airmail.cc].insane Ransomware by clicking on the Trash icon.

Mozilla Firefox

  • Open Mozilla Firefox browser and click (☰) icon from top right corner to open browser menu in Firefox.
  • Select Add-Ons
  • Select Extensions or Appearance panel in the Add-On Manager tab.
  • Select all the malicious add ons that are related to  .[insane@airmail.cc].insane Ransomware.
  • Click Remove.

Internet Explorer

  • Open Internet Explorer and click setting icon on the top right corner
  • Click Manage Add Ons option.
  • Then, select the tab of Toolbars and Extensions.
  • Find add ons related to .[insane@airmail.cc].insane Ransomware and then click Disable.
  • Select More Information oprtion and click Remove.

MS Edge

  • Open Edge Browser, click on (…) icon on the top right corner and select Settings.
  • Then click on View Advanced Settings option.
  • Now, click the option “Add New”.
  • At last, select your preferred Search Engine and click Add as Default.
  1. Delete harmful registry made by .[insane@airmail.cc].insane Ransomware
    • Click Windows Logo Key + R button simultaneously to open the RUN command in your PC.
    • Type regedit in the dialogue box that opens and click on OK button to open Registry Editor.
    • Find and delete all the malicious registry entries which are created by the .[insane@airmail.cc].insane Ransomware .
