Firstly, the Lime Decryptor Ransomware enters the system and then begins the encrypting procedure with AES encryption algorithms. The developers of these malicious applications require the victim to pay a ransom in around 30 days. If the victim fails to pay the ransom, then the files are supposed to be deleted permanently.

Removing Lime Decryptor Ransomware by using safe mode with networking

You can do so by rebooting the computer in safe mode.

Windows XP

  1. Click on the Start Menu.
  2. Now click on the icon next to the Shutdown button.
  3. From the dropdown list, choose and click on Restart button.
  4. Now Click on Ok button.
  5. When the system starts rebooting, press F8 multiple till the advanced boot options are displayed on the screen.
  6. From the list select Safe Mode with Command Prompt.

Windows Vista

  1. Click on the Start Menu.

  3. From the Advanced Options, select Startup Settings.
  4. When the choices are displayed, choose enable Safe Mode.
  5. Now click on Restart.

Windows 10

  1. Press the Power button on the windows login screen. Now press and hold Shift Key and click on the Restart button.
  2. Now click on Troubleshoot.
  3. From the Advanced Options, select Startup Settings.
  4. When the choices are displayed, choose enable Safe Mode.
  5. Now click on Restart.

Restore the files via Windows previous versions

You can easily recover your files if the system restore was enabled in your system prior to infection. If the system restore was enabled, then you can recover your data through Windows Previous Version.

  1. Open My Computer and search for the folder you want to restore.
  2. As soon as you find it, right click on it and choose the restore Previous Version option from the new window.
  3. This option will display all the previous copies of the folder.
  4. Now select restore data through the options i.e. Open – Copy – Restore

If you follow these steps in the right order, then it is easy to get rid of this ransomware without losing any of your sensitive data.
