These ads may sound tempting and many football fans would want to make easy money by betting on the game. However, the host nation Russia has warned the football enthusiasts to beware of growing number of hoax emails and messages. The scams fraudulently claim to be associated with FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia.
These scams invite recipients to submit a tender or inform recipients to have won a lottery prize. In order to receive the price money, recipients are persuaded to provide personal information or bank details to initiate the process. In some cases recipients are even asked to send the money as upfront payment to enter the tender process.
In order to rescue people from falling in the vicious trap of these swindling email scams, FIFA strongly recommends public to be suspicious and treat any correspondence concerning lottery draws with extreme caution. People are also advised to forbid sharing any personal or financial details in any case.
FIFA further recapitulates of not having any connection with such correspondence. It retaliates that such fraudulent authorizations are in no way related to FIFA World Cup tournaments or any FIFA events.
Price money of this fake lottery may be highly tempting. However these hoax email messages quite falsely belong to Coca Cola promotion. They are scams designed to lure potential fans and trick them to extract their personal information.
