QuickFlightTracker is a malicious browser extension designed to swindle users. The web page of this domain may appear as legitimate. The website lures users by claiming to provide various information related to International flights. The domain page also alleges to track flight status of United Airlines, Delta, Southwest, Lufthansa and many more flights.
However, users are advised not fall in the trap of these false claims as QuickFlightTracker is categorized as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that hijacks user browsers once infiltrated in the system. This Browser Hijacker undergoes stealth installation, modifies web browser settings and ruins user browsing experience.
Infestation of this malicious browser extension leads to the replacement of home page, search engine and new tab of the web page with https://hp.myway.com/ and https://search.myway.com.
The developers of this browser aim to earn profit by displaying ads or web results that are sponsored by third parties. Every click on these ads or a visit to sponsored web pages generate revenue for the miscreants. However, redirected web pages and displayed ads may be malicious and may make your system susceptible to other system infections and hence pose a threat to system security and privacy.
These details could also be used to extort the victim or it could be sold to third parties who could use it to display engaging ads or pop-ups to promote their brands or websites and earn revenue.

Links Bar — The bar shows icons to popular Internet services. The web page that appears when the icon is clicked is illegitimate and aims to trick users to enter in their account credentials. The information collected can be used to carry out malicious activities.
Users need to be cautious and refrain from clicking on any suspicious link, ads and pop- ups to avoid the nasty infection from invading the system.
